Weybridge is a town with 15,449 inhabitants (2011) in the district of Elmbridge Surrey in southeast England. From 1933 to 1974 Weybridge was part of the Urban Districts Walton and Weybridge. The name is derived from the River Wey, which flows in Weybridge in the Thames; the place was because it was relatively comfortable there cross the river. was known throughout Europe Weybridge in 2005 as the seat of a specialized laboratory of the European Union, which analyzed as a reference laboratory for the influenza A virus H5N1, all that has occurred in the EU suspected cases of avian influenza H5N1.
