Torquay [ˌtɔːkiː] is a city on the south coast of England, in the county of Devon in the "English Riviera" area. Torquay forms since 1997, the independent administrative unit together with Paignton and Brixham (Unitary Authority) Torbay on the western side of Lyme Bay in southwest England. The inhabitants of Torquay is 62,963 (as of 2001), Torbay total, in 2007 about 132,000 inhabitants.
