Tamworth

Tamworth is a town of about 74,000 inhabitants in the English county of Staffordshire, about 25 km north east of Birmingham. The name is derived from that of the River Tame, which flows through the city. there are the historically significant Castle Tamworth Castle, the Snow Dome (the first indoor ski Britain) and the amusement park Drayton Manor Theme Park, Tamworth. Major industries are engineering, clothing, brick and paper. From 1935-2001 Automobile of Reliant brand were built in Tamworth. Since 1980 is twinned with Bad Laasphe.
