Stony Stratford (often short: Stony) is a city in the northeast of the Borough of Milton Keynes, which formed the northern part of Buckinghamshire to the 1997th It lies on the border with Northamptonshire on the banks of the Great Ouse. Before Stony Stratford got the status of New City in the 1960s, it was part of the city district of Wolverton. Stony Stratford has about 64,000 residents along with the neighboring town of Wolverton.
