Rosyth (Gaelic: Ros Saoithe) is a large town on the Firth of Forth on Scotland's East Coast, 1.6 km south of Dunfermline, Fife, and about 19 km northwest of Edinburgh. It belongs to the Scottish administrative district Dunfermline and West Fife. The port was the only direct ferry from Scotland to mainland Europe until the end of 2011; the port of arrival was Zeebrugge. The operating company Norfolkline / DFDS Seaways has discontinued the line.
