Purley is a borough in the London Borough of Croydon, located 20 km from the city center in south London. Purley has about 72,000 inhabitants. During the 1920s and 1930s, Purley was characterized by rapid growth, as a vast development and a scenic environment were found here. Purley was the residence of Joachim von Ribbentrop before the Second World War, while he held the post of Ambassador in London.
