Otterburn is a small town in Northumberland, England, 50 km north-west of Newcastle upon Tyne on the banks of the River speech near the mouth of Otterburn - after this creek the place is named. Otterburn is located in the Cheviot Hills, named after the river speech Redesdale, only 26 kilometers from the Scottish border. The Otterburn Training Area, one of the largest military training areas of the British Army (240 square kilometers) is located very close to the village.
