Moreton-in-Marsh is a town and parish with 3,198 inhabitants (2001) in the northeastern English county of Gloucestershire, nestled in a hilly landscape, the Cotswold hills (at the junction of the Fosse Way, a road from the Roman period now A 429), and the A 44 is located. The place flows around the sprung near Batsford, fledgling River Evenlode, which eventually leads to a highly winding course toward Oxford, east of Eynsham into the Thames.
