Lundin Links is a small Scottish village on the north side of the Firth of Forth in Fife. The most important attraction, the menhirs of Lundin Links, are west of Lundin on the premises of the local Ladies Golf Club. Two of the stones are close together, the third somewhat distant. They are among the most impressive in Scotland. The single stone is about 5.5 m high. The stones of the pair are 4.1 and 4.6 m high. Evidence of a fourth stone exist. The costs associated with its construction, about 5000 years ago technical skills of the local Neolithic population must have been highly developed. Similarly respectable stones stand at Machrie Moor.
