Livingston is a planned city in central Scotland, West Lothian, the most populous municipality and the administrative center it is. Well founded New Town was populated Livingston in 1962 and from 1966 to the same historic village around which has since been called Livingston Village, whose verifiable historical continuity to the 12th century goes back. The city is located about 25 kilometers west of Edinburgh and 50 km east of Glasgow and has 56,269 inhabitants. With the surrounding areas, the population Livingston is an urban region 63,160 people (2008).
