Keith (Gaelic: Baile Chèith) is a small town in the Scottish Council Area Moray by the River Isla, a tributary of the Deveron. It lies just off the A96, which connects Aberdeen to Inverness. Keith is connected with its own railway station on the rail network. In the year 2011 4734 inhabitants were recorded. Keith is the major Whiskey Region Speyside and is currently active site of four whiskey distilleries: Aultmore, Strathisla, Strathmill. and Glen Keith. With Glentauchers to another distillery in less than ten kilometers away Mulben place. From Easter to the end of September runs on weekends between Dufftown and Keith the Keith and Dufftown Railway, a heritage railway.
