Horncastle is a small English town with 6090 inhabitants in the district East Lindsey, Lincolnshire in the Middle East (East Midlands) of England. Its former economic importance for the region as a typical market place, especially for the cattle trade is largely been lost today. The place acts but still as a local center for the sparsely populated and heavily Farming central Lincolnshire and also has a number of shops, catering establishments and smaller industrial companies in addition to several schools and administrative facilities.
