Drumnadrochit (Scottish Gaelic Druim na Drochaid, "ridge at the bridge") is a place in Scotland. It is located on the western shore of Loch Ness on the A82. The place has, according to the 2011 census has a population of 1101. Drumnadrochit is the center of Nessie tourism. It is from Inverness (capital of the Highlands) very easy to reach by car, bus and boat. Outside the town are the ruins of Urquhart Castle is located. In the village there are two competing visitor centers, which deal with Loch Ness and the search for the Loch Ness monster and cryptozoology. Near the Falls of Divach located.
