Cults (Gaelic: A 'Chùilt) is a suburb of the Scottish city of Aberdeen. It is located about six kilometers west of the city center on the northern bank of the Dee east of Milltimber. In 1991, Cults recorded 5265 inhabitants. Cults growing very rapidly for several decades and could quadruple its population between 1951 (1361 inhabitants) and the 1,991th Historically, several mills were operated in Cults; Today it serves as a commuter settlement for Aberdeen. In the 19th century Cults got its own railway station on the line Deeside Railway of the Great North of Scotland Railway, which ran from Aberdeen to Ballater. The line was closed 1966th The A93 passes through Cults and closes the village on to the road network. The A90 runs a few kilometers east.
