Coatbridge is a Scottish town in North Lanarkshire near Glasgow. The town of 43,841 inhabitants forms the center of the Scottish iron industry. Due to the immigration of many Irish in the 19th and 20th centuries, Coatbridge is also referred to as Little Ireland. Some sections of the Monkland Canal are still preserved in Coatbridge.
