Brighton and Hove is a self-governing (Unitary Authority) on the south coast of England. It was created by the connection of the Boroughs Brighton and Hove in 1997. Since 2000, Brighton and Hove has the status of a city. The administrative headquarters of the unitary authority is located in Hove. Brighton and Hove also includes Portslade and Rottingdean in addition to the eponymous locations.
