Brading is an English town on the Isle of Wight. It has about 2000 inhabitants (2011). The city was first mentioned in 683 and received city rights in 1285. In the Middle Ages and early modern times, it was mainly because of their port of importance. In the 16th century, the harbor began to silt up and the town lost its importance.
