Boroughbridge is a town and a civil parish (municipality) in the County Borough of Harrogate in North Yorkshire, England. Originally Boroughbridge was a town on the traditional county of West Riding of Yorkshire in England. Boroughbridge located 21 km north-west of York on the A1 road - since the bypass road but not directly. Here cross the A1 the River Ure. At the very place is Aldborough, the former Roman Isurium Brigantum. In the village there is a Primary School (primary school) and the Boroughbridge High School, which specializes in performing arts.
