Blair Atholl

Blair Atholl (from the Gaelic: Blar Athall) is a small village in the county of Perthshire in Scotland. It is located 56 km north of Perth at the confluence of the rivers Tilt and Garry on a relatively flat area in the center of the Grampian Mountains. The Gaelic place name Blair (flat of Blar =, flat) points out. Atholl, meaning "New Ireland", is the name for the area around the village. It lies in the Cairngorms National Park.
