Aberfeldy is a place with 1986 inhabitants in the valley of the River Tay in the Scottish region of Perth and Kinross. In Gaelic it is called obair Pheallaidh (Pheallaidh was a kind of water imp, the name part obair means mouth or confluence). The place is in English-speaking especially known for the folk song The Birks of Aberfeldy (The Birch of Aberfeldy) of the Scottish poet Robert Burns.
