Storuman (South Sami: Luspie, umesamisch: Lusspie) is a place (tätort) in the Swedish province of Västerbotten County and the historic province of Lapland and is the capital of the homonymous municipality. Storuman has a station on the Inland Railway. In the station the railway line branches off to Hållnäs on which, however, held no regular passenger more. By Storuman the European route E12 and European route lead 45. The village is located at the headwaters of Ume älv, at the outlet of the lake Storuman.
