Wadowice [vadɔvʲiʦɛ] (German medieval city woman, from 1939 to 1945 Wadowitz) is located in Poland between Krakow (southwest, 48 km) and Bielsko feet of small Beskidy, a mountain range of the Carpathian foothills. The town on the Skawa (Watch) has about 20,000 inhabitants, is the administrative center of the small town building Wadowice, the Wadowice County and belongs to the province Lesser Poland (Małopolskie). Today Wadowice is an administrative and industrial center in the region.
