Pilica [pʲiliʦa] (German: Pilitza, older and pills) is a city on the Pilica with about 2,000 inhabitants (30 June 2014) in Poland. It is located 21 kilometers east of the county seat Zawiercie on the edge of the limestone area of ​​the high Jura and the granite rocks of the eagles' nests. Pilica belongs to the zawiercie county, Silesia and is the seat of city and rural municipality of the same.
