Karpacz [karpaʧ] (German Krummhübel) is a city in southwestern Poland. It is located in Jelenia Góra County of Lower Silesia. Its location makes it next to Szklarska Poreba (Schreiberhau) the most important center of tourism in the Polish part of the Giant Mountains. Karpacz belongs to the Euro region Neisse. The city is the starting point for hikes in all parts of the Giant Mountains, offers opportunities for winter sports and has approximately 8,500 guest beds.
