Bogatynia [bɔgatɨɲa] (German Reichenau i. Sachsen) is a city on Erlichtbach in the Polish part of Lusatia. It is the seventh largest city with 18,800 inhabitants and administratively belongs to Zgorzelec County in Lower Silesia. The most important industries are the brown coal mining and coal-fired power plant in Turów. Between Zittau and Sieniawka (Klein Schönau), a district of Bogatynia, there is a border crossing. The city belongs to the Euro region Neisse.
