Duntroon (from the Scottish Gaelic Dùn Treòin) is a small rural community in the Waitaki District on New Zealand's South Island. The place got its name in 1849 by the Scottish Great Farmer Robert Campbell after the Scottish town Duntroon. Campbells Farm Otekaieke station itself was 10 kilometers west on Otekaiake River.
