Ahuroa is a place in the former Rodney District in New Zealand. In the southeast of the village lies Puhoi, in the northeast Warkworth and in the north Kaipara Flats. The North Auckland railway line passes through the area. The North Auckland Line reached Ahuroa in 1905 from Kaukapakapa. It was created to exploit the forests here. Since the place had a railway station, it was decided in the late 1920s to declare the road between Ahuroa and Glorit on the west coast to the highway and fortified with gravel. Today, however, the place is no longer connected to the network of highways, the next highway runs with the Highway 16 in Glorit 10 km away. The school of Ahuroa is a co-educational primary school for grades 1-8 with a decile rating of 7 and 25 students (01/2009).
