Meknes (Arabic مكناس, DMG Miknās, Tamazight: ⵎⴽⵏⴰⵙ) is a city in northern Morocco with around 600,000 inhabitants. It is located in the region Fez-Meknes at the foot of the Middle Atlas Mountains.
