Villacidro

Villacidro is a municipality of 14,099 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2015) in the province of Sud Sardegna in Sardinia. Villacidro was from 2001 to 2016, the capital of the province of Medio Campidano in the southwest of the island. During the Second World War Villacidro-Trunconi (⊙) was used between Villacidro and Serramanna, which was successively used by the Italian, German and American air forces. On the site is today, among other things, a racecourse.
