Siniscola (Sardinian: Thiniscòle) is a town with 11,486 inhabitants (December 31, 2015) on the east coast in the province of Nuoro (NU) in the Italian region of Sardinia and part of the historical region Baronia. It is located about 160 km northeast of Cagliari and about 45 km northeast of Nuoro. Siniscola covers an area of 199.96 square kilometers. Siniscola borders the following municipalities: Irgoli, Lodè Lula, Onifai, Orosei, Posada and Torpè. The municipality stretches from the beaches of La Caletta, Berchidda and Capo Comino to Monte Albo with its state forest. On the mountain there are the oldest traces of people, in the caves Sa Preione e s'Orcu and Duas Vuccas. In the surrounding area there are numerous nuraghi and giants' tombs found (Tombe dei Giganti).
