San Lorenzo in Banale

San Lorenzo in Banale (German obsolete: St. Lawrence) is a place and was a northeast Italian community (comune) in Trentino in the Trentino-Alto Adige. On 1 January 2015 San Lorenzo was merged in Banale with the municipality of Dorsino to the new municipality of San Lorenzo Dorsino. The municipality counted on 31 December 2013 1168 inhabitants in an area of ​​61 km ². The community included the factions Deggia, Moline and Nembia. Neighboring municipalities were Andalo, Calavino, Comano Terme, Dorsino, Molveno, Ragoli, Stenico and Vezzano. San Lorenzo in Banale is now a faction and is the main town of the new community. The village is located about 16 kilometers west of Trento. In the northeast lies the Lago di Molveno.
