Porto Viro is a commune of northern Italy (comune) with 14,494 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2015) in the province of Rovigo in Veneto. The municipality was formed in 1995 by the merger of the municipalities Contarina and Donada. The community itself is located on the Pomündung to the Adriatic Sea. Porto Viro is located about 45 kilometers south of Venice and 35 kilometers east of Rovigo. The Parco del Delta del Po also touches the municipality.
