Padula is a town in the province of Salerno, Campania region with a population of 5368 (December 31, 2015) and part of the Mountain Community Vallo di Diano.Der place is known by a subject on the list of world cultural heritage monastery, the Certosa di Padula. The municipality includes the hamlets Ascolese and Caiazzano, neighboring municipalities are Buonabitacolo, Marsico Nuovo (PZ), Montesano sulla Marcellana, Paterno (PZ), Sala Consilina, Sassano and Tramutola (PZ). Patron saint of the town is San Michele Arcangelo.
