Orciano di Pesaro is a municipality with 2028 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2015) in the Marche region in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the hinterland, still near the sea and not far from the up to 1700 m high mountains. Districts are Montebello, Rupoli and Schieppe. The neighboring municipalities are Barchi, Mondavio, Monte Porzio, Montemaggiore al Metauro, San Giorgio di Pesaro, Sant'Ippolito and Serrungarina. The municipality belongs to the Comunità montana del Metauro. Orciano di Pesaro is visible from a distance by two towers. One of the sights of Orciano is the 40-meter-high Torre Civica with the bell tower, whose clock strikes every quarter, half and three quarters of an hour, as well as all the hours. The extraordinary dial has only one hand. So many visitors think that the clock is broken. At second glance, you can see six Roman numerals on the page and quarter, half and three-quarter lines in the inner circle, the dots indicate the full hours.
