Montoro Inferiore is a locality and was an Italian commune in the province of Avellino in the Campania region. The municipality was part of the Comunità Montana Irno - Solofrana. The local saint is Nicholas of Tolentino. Montoro Inferiore belongs since 2013 to the municipality of Montoro. The place is located at an altitude of 190 m. s. l. m. Montoro Inferiore merged with Montoro Superiore on 3 December 2013 to form the new municipality of Montoro. The community had on December 31, 2013 10,617 inhabitants in an area of 19.49 km ². The neighboring communities were Bracigliano (SA), Contrada, Fisciano (SA), Forino, Mercato San Severino (SA) and Montoro Superiore. The municipality included the fractions Borgo, Figlioli, Misciano, Piano, Piazza di Pandola, Preturo, San Bartolomeo and San Felice.
