Martignano (Greek: Martignana) is a municipality with 1670 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015) in the province of Lecce in the Italian region of Puglia. It is located in the south of the Salento peninsula and belongs to the Greek language island Grecìa Salentina. The neighboring communities are Calimera, Caprarica di Lecce, Martano, Sternatia and Zollino. Important buildings include the San Giovanni Chapel, a Hypogeum and the Palazzo Palmieri.
