Limone sul Garda is an Italian town on the western shore of Lake Garda in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, located on the Gardesana Occidentale. Limone sul Garda has 1,181 inhabitants (December 31, 2015). The original fishing village is now a tourist destination with many modern hotels and apartments. there are two ports Porto Vecchio and Porto Nuovo in Limone. The name Limone probably not derived, as is often assumed, from the surrounding citrus groves, but from the Latin word limes (border). Because once ended the Venetian Republic in Limone. Nevertheless, there mainly markets the "Lemon image". About 10,000 tourists visit every day during the season to Limone. For them large car parks were set up on the outskirts, because in the old town no traffic is possible.
