Fermo (in ancient times Firmum) is a city of 37,655 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2015) in the province of the same name, Region Marche in Italy. In 2004, the province of Fermo was formed from the northern part of the province of Ascoli Piceno with Fermo as its capital. The city has a cathedral, which is the seat of the Archdiocese of Fermo.
