Busseto is a municipality in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna with 7054 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2015). Busseto is known as the birthplace (now incorporated and officially named Roncole Verdi village of Le Roncole) and home of Giuseppe Verdi. Busseto also received great national attention in 1976, when part of the filming for the feature film 1900 (Novecento) by Bernardo Bertolucci took place there.
