Belmonte Calabro, also known as Belmonte, is a city in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region in southern Italy with a population of 2,003 (December 31, 2015). The village is located 73 km southwest of Cosenza on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The districts are Annunziata, Vadi, Marina, Santa Barbara, Salice and Spineto. The neighboring towns are Amantea, Lake, Longobardi, Mendicino and San Pietro in Amantea. Belmonte Calabro there are remains of a medieval fortification. Worth seeing is the parish church from the Middle Ages.
