Sulzbach-Rosenberg is a town in Upper Palatinate Amberg-Sulzbach, about 50 km east of Nuremberg. The town was founded on July 1, 1934 the merger of the city Sulzbach Rosenberg with the community. She had until 30 June 1972, the county town of the district of the same name. She is one of 13 so-called powerful municipalities belonging in Bavaria.
