Landau an der Isar

Landau an der Isar (officially: Landau a.d.Isar) is the second largest with its founding in 1224, the oldest town in Lower Bavaria Dingolfing-Landau. The old town Landau situated at an altitude of 390 meters above mean sea level ( 'Upper city'), above the slope of the Leite Isar valley. This Landau came to nickname mountain town. The newer 'lower town' is more than 50 meters deep in the valley of the Isar valley, and is traversed by the Isar. The old town has retained its medieval structure.
