The seaside health resort of Ahlbeck is a hamlet in the town Heringsdorf the easternmost of the three so-called imperial baths on the island of Usedom in the Vorpommern-Greifswald, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Ahlbeck is located right on the border to the Polish Swinoujscie. In 2005, the three Baltic seaside resorts Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin were merged to the municipality Dreikaiserbäder. Since 2006 is the town of Heringsdorf. These beach resorts and with the since the late 1940s Polish seaside resort of Swinoujscie Ahlbeck is connected to the longest beach promenade in Europe, which extends over a length of 12 km above the four resorts. The sandy beach of Swinemiinde about Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf to Bansin runs, an average of 40 m wide, with a total of 42 km in length in the further course up to Peenemünde.
