Fiji

Fiji, officially the Republic of Fiji (Fiji: Viti or Matanitu ko Viti; English Fiji and Republic of Fiji) is an island nation in the South Pacific north of New Zealand and east of Australia. Fiji became independent in 1970 and since 1987 a republic with the capital Suva on the island of Viti Levu. Since the democratic elections on 17 September 2014 Fiji is a parliamentary democracy. The previous Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama won 59.20 percent of the vote and was re-elected with it.
