Yancheng (盐城市, Yancheng Shì) is a prefecture-level city in northeastern China's Jiangsu Province. In 2007, the urban districts with 1,720 square kilometers 1,526,400 inhabitants, the entire administrative area Yanchengs had nearly 8 million inhabitants. Near the city is the Yancheng Nature Reserve, where the once extinct in China David Hirsch was reintroduced.
