Pingdu (Chinese 平度 市, Pinyin Píngdù Shì) is a county-level city in the province of Shandong in the east of the People's Republic of China, it belongs to the administrative region of the prefecture-free city of Qingdao. Pingdu has an area of ​​3166 km ² and 1,357,400 inhabitants (end of 2010). The site of the ancient city of Jimo (Jimo gucheng yizhi 即墨 故城 遗址) and the Dongyueshi site (Dongyueshi yizhi 东岳 石 遗址) of the Yueshi culture have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2001 and 2006, respectively.
