Manchu Autonomous Okrug (Chinese 宽甸 满族 自治县, Pinyin Kuāndiàn Mǎnzú Zìzhìxiàn) is an autonomous Manchu County of Dandong, a prefecture in northeast China's Liaoning Province. It has an area of 6,115 km² and has 438,000 inhabitants (2010). According to recent archeological findings, the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty (Ming changcheng) to the east of Jiangyantai Fortress (江 沿 台 堡 Jiangyantai bao) began at the southern foot of Hushan Mountain in Kuandian County and not, as previously thought, at Shanhai Pass.
