Hohhot (Mongolian ᠬᠥᠬᠡᠬᠣᠲᠠ, Chinese 呼和浩特, Pinyin Huhehaote) is the capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China. The town's name is Mongolian, meaning Blue City; However, the Chinese translation (青城 = "blue / green / azure / Pure City") also allows for other colors, so the partially used label Green city declared by the Chinese.
