Banja Luka (Serbian Cyrillic Бања Лука, German outdated Weina Luka, Luka) is a city in the north of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the seat of government of the Republika Srpska. The city is the seat of a Serbian Orthodox and Roman Catholic Diocese and the University of Banja Luka. With 199,191 inhabitants (Census 2013) is Banja Luka, the most populous municipality in Bosnia and Herzegovina and its second largest city.
