Tarrenz is a municipality with 2712 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2016) in the district of Imst (judicial district Imst) of the state of Tyrol (Austria). The name derives from torrente (torrent). Today, Tarrenz is an agricultural (with emphasis on sheep) and Auspendlergemeinde. In recent years, Tarrenz and his administration have been able to massively increase economic growth and beautify the village image considerably. In addition, "Tårrez" (as it is popularly called) is a traditional, traditional village with a lively club life.
